“We plan to disperse people across the planet to increase chances of survival,” said Admiral Adama.
Starbuck (Katee Sackhoff) and Leoben (Callum Rennie) landed on “24” with Keifer Sutherland; Apollo (Jamie Bamber) and Helo (Tahmoh Penikett) on Joss Whedon’s “Dollhouse” with Eliza Dushku.
And it looks like Apollo is marrying again … just not to Starbuck … again. [Preview summary. More super tiny promo pics]

Leonardo Di Caprio and Ellen Page are filming sci-fi thriller
Not much is known about the plotline of Director Christopher (also director of Memento, The Prestige, and The Dark Knight) Nolan’s, Inception, except that “it is set within the architecture of the mind”. [source]
What we do know is that the movie also casts the talents of Marion Cotillard, Michael Caine, Ken Watanabe, Joseph-Gordon Levitt, Cilian Murphy, Lukas Haas, and Tom Berenger. [First pics from set released!]

Bruce Willis does Sci-Fi
So I’ve been seeing these ads in the NYC subway for an upcoming Sci-fi Bruce Willis movie, Surrogates. With the tagline, “Human perfection, what could go wrong?” my thoughts immediately jump to “been done, not original” and…
“I can’t believe the Battlestar hype is being taken advantage of by mainstream and will probably make tons of money, while Battlestar is ignored and snubbed (Emmys) of its rightful acknowledgement for probably giving rise to the idea and subsequent project approval for the movie”.
My curiosity always trumping control, I looked it up.
It seems to be an amalgam of movies/stories we’ve already seen in BSG 2003/04-2009 and The Matrix series, so are we currently seeing a manifestation of the “it’s all happened before and it will happen again” pilferage or bastardization of previous storylines? Are we seeing something different that would be derived from previous storylines? Are they simly similar in topic, but unique in ther storylines and messages? or All or none or some of the above?
I think the marketers have done their job in my case, since my curiosity is sufficiently piqued, I am posting about it, and I would watch it in the theatres (or perhaps wait for the DVD if if it’s low on the tomatometer).
I also wonder if the Steven Klein Mr. & Mrs. Willis BDSM spread in the July 2009 issue of W Magazine was a contrived marketing pre-cursor to his upcoming sci-fi flick, mere coincidence, or a product of a new dynamic? (the article is a good read, by the way)
Was it part of the plan? or were the photo shoot and movie derived/spawned out of the dynamic between the new Bruce and Emma union?

Katee Sackhoff joins cast of ‘24’
Entertainment Weekly’s Michael Ausiello has just confirmed that former ‘Battlestar Galactica’ star Katee Sackhoff will be joining the cast of ‘24’ season 8.
Ausiello notes that the “Battlestar Galactica heroine has been tapped to play the series regular role of Dana Walsh, a highly respected and down-to-earth data analyst at the new and improved New York branch of CTU. She’s in a relationship with fellow agent Davis Cole (played by the just-cast Freddie Prinze. Jr.), and she apparently has a skeleton in her closet she’s trying desperately to keep hidden.”
